Corporate governance
We are building a product that handles people's identities and personal photographs. We take that responsibility seriously, and we are committed to governing the company around a small set of clear principles from day one.
Our principles
- Privacy by design. We collect the minimum we need, store it encrypted, never sell or share it, and delete it on a set schedule — during the live pilot, uploaded photos are purged after 90 days, and any account left unused for 18 months is deleted in full.
- Security first. Independent security review and responsible-disclosure practices are part of our path to public launch.
- Inclusion. The product is designed to work for everyone, independent of language, literacy, means, or device — and our governance reflects that mission.
- Transparency & consent. People are told what we collect and why, and participation in anything beyond core login (such as security testing) is opt-in.
- Responsible AI. Any machine-learning we use to strengthen the system is applied to protect users, not to profile or track them.
As we formalise
VisualEyes is a live pilot. As we incorporate the operating company and raise, we will put in place a formal board, documented policies (data protection, security, acceptable use, conflicts of interest) and appropriate compliance for the markets we serve, and we will update this page accordingly. In the meantime, our interim Privacy Policy and Terms of Service are already published.
